Who We Are

CrossFit Forgiven is a part of Crafted Fitness, located in Plymouth, MI. We are a community of people who strive for a better quality of life.  We achieve this goal through increasing our level of physical fitness, eating healthier, sleeping better, and reducing stress.  Our community works to improve all of these while providing each other with a sense of enhanced mental fitness as well.

We challenge each other through the daily WOD. We encourage each other to finish strong. We show up to class every day willing to test ourselves, to test our capacity to be better.

Brent Gostomski


Brent is an all around fitness enthusiast.  Whether fierce competition is the task at hand or simply hiking northern Michigan, he loves all aspects of health and fitness.

He graduated from Alma College with a BS in exercise and health science and has dedicated his life to improving human quality of life.  He has a background in a multitude of sports as well as medicinal exercise and nutrition.

Along with CrossFit, he is certified by the ACSM, NASM, KettleBell Concepts, TRX, as well as carries a certification in corrective exercise.


Ray Davis


Ray has been coaching for over a year and is a Level 1 CrossFit trainer. He got his start at CrossFit Downriver learning basics and quickly became engulfed in the CrossFit culture and style of training. He has been a coach for almost 2 years and offers a fresh approach to the daily regimen in the form of fitness from a lifestyle point of view.

Ray is a seasoned rock climber and is readily able to add realtime functionality to CrossFit programing. His most recent super human feat was attempting to break The Guinness Book of World Records for the most pull-ups in 24 hours. He got to an impressive 2001! While he fell short of his goal, this certainly won’t be the last we see of this challenge. Next up, he is going to tackle the Ninja Warrior auditions!


Bruce Van Gemert


Bruce has always enjoyed physical fitness from a young age and understands its importance to improve everyday life. He is a Level 1 CrossFit trainer.

With a career as a firefighter and licensed paramedic, he knows the importance of having mental and physical strength, endurance, and flexibility. All of these functions are a part of CrossFit which was a major draw to Bruce becoming a part of this community.

Bruce, has been a member of CrossFit Forgiven since its inception and continues to enjoy not only participating, but also pushing others to reach their goals.


Russ Holdridge


Russ is passionate about sports and fitness.  He has played college football, MHSAA varsity track, basketball and baseball.  He is currently coaching Triple A Hockey for Victory Honda and in the past he has coached football, basketball and track.

Russ is a graduate from EMU with a BS in marketing.  His drive in physical and mental well being brought him to CrossFit and he’s been there every since.  He believes that CrossFit is for everyone creating a healthy self-image and bringing out their inner athlete.  It’s never too late to improve our quality of life and CrossFit is the tool Russ wields with excellent skill.
